Who Am I?

My fiance gave me some 'homework' assignments to work on my magical studies while I'm grounded (in trouble grounded, not energetically grounded, unfortunately). The first question was Who Am I? Not my name, but who I am. It took awhile to answer. And I know it will change over time. But this is Who I Am for now:

I am a winter’s gale blowing over a frozen mountain top. I am a warm breeze that hints at the coming return of the sun. I am a tempest bending the sea’s surface to my will. I am a cooling kiss of air on a hot summer’s day and a drying gust of desert heat. I am the breeze singing as it dances through shuddering leaves high in the tree tops and causing ripples on a pond. I am the wind filling sails as the prow crests through my waves.

I am the Phoenix, creature of air but born of fire. I am as multi-colored as Phoenix feathers, my true self as mysterious and elusive. I am the rain kissing the Earth, running the eternal path to the Ocean’s depths then back into the sky. I am the well of life, my womb is power, the ebb and flow of my body is controlled by the Moon just as She controls the tides. I am fire, the flame of passion that sparks life. I am creator and destroyer. I am warming heat and burning cold. I am the plants, the trees, the creatures. I am autumn leaves dancing in the wind. I am Earth and Her People.

I am inspiration and hope, death and rebirth, darkness and light. The Earth my Mother, the Moon my Grandmother, the Sun my Father. I was shattered, and though I was mended and am held together just enough to not be lost into the darkness that welcomes me, I am still fragile. I was the Maiden and became Mother, and I will become Crone in the end.

I am the Archeress, the Protectress, and the Winged One. I bow to no one, I surrender to none, and I belong to no man. I am an unstoppable, untamable force.

I am Wild. I am Witch. I am Goddess.
